Author Q&A

Is it too late to participate?
The Deadline Has Passed

Do I have to write a certain type of book, or be from a certain area?
Fiction, Non-Fiction, Confederate, Union - we are in this to celebrate the book, not judge or discriminate. The book fest welcomes authors of all types. We do request that if you've fictionalized a non-fiction topic that you do represent yourself true to your finished work. i.e. A biography that has been sensationalized is actually fiction.

We welcome authors from anywhere to participate in this book festival. While we are located on Cowskin Prairie, we hope to have a wide geographical area of authors represented.

What do I get for participating?
Author registration is still available with a late deadline of September 12. Late registrations accepted by mail (see address below) with a $5.00 late fee, per registration. Late authors get everything in their exhibit package that those already participating are:

Authors can reserve a half table (4') for $15.00, or a full 8' table for $30.00. In addition to networking with other authors and interested readers, hand selling and signing you work is always a plus. At this time, with the receipt of paid reservation by the Monday, August 15 deadline, as space allows, will receive:

How do I sign up?
Send the information on the form found here (electronically to webmaster), and payment ($20 half table/$35 full table) received at address below by September 12 (or before all space taken) to:

Cowskin Prairie Chapter, UDC
61801 E 280 RD
Grove, OK. 74344

How late can I reserve space?
Authors exhibiting at the first festival will be able to reserve first. Space will be available to authors until it sells out, or new lat deadline of September 12th (whichever is first). There is only enough 4' exhibit spaces for 56 exhibitors total. Some Authors have even inquired about more than a single table for their exhibit. We only ask that a "good neighbor" policy be observed - no sight blocking screens or standees, low background music rather than amplified prepared presentations, etc.
